DINDIE
Objects made because they deserved to exist. Not because they were cheap to produce.
The design industry has a terrible gatekeeping problem. Great designs constantly need to ask for permission to exist. Someone with a spreadsheet decides what gets made and what doesn't. And most of the time, it's not the best objects that make it through. It's the safest ones.
We built Dindie for everything that got killed at that gate. For the things the industry said no to. For the objects that solved something in a way nobody had thought of before but production costs made it impossible. For the pieces that were too strange, too specific, too uncompromising to survive a committee.
We want those objects. The ones that have something to say. That solve something. That provoke something. Objects that make people stop and ask who made this and why. Products that don't apologize for what they are. Things the world is better for having.
Made to matter. Not to sell.
Independent designers submit their work. We review for design quality and resolve. We accept very few. That is the point.
Approved designs go into production. The designer earns a royalty on every unit sold.
Orders ship directly to the buyer. Dindie handles payments, logistics, and support. You get the object. The designer gets paid.
We accept a small number of designers. There is no quota, no season, no open call. Submit your work when it's ready. If it's resolved, it has a place here.
